Turning the thumb slightly up alters which muscles in the hand are working, how much passive friction there is against the reins, and how stable and sensitive the contact feels.
It can completely change how the hand functions - even when everything else looks the same.

The black touchscreen thumb print on the glove is brilliant for two reasons.
From the ground it gives a clear visual of where the thumb is sitting, and for the rider it acts as a simple instruction - gently create a thumbprint on the reins, as if the ink is transferring.

It works especially well for children.

Actively analysing your body using the lines and colours forces you to really look at how you’re sitting and moving. You adjust what you see to what looks better… even when it initially feels wrong.

I really wanted to cater for different types of riders with this one. Some riders love lots of visual information, and others just prefer the key cues – the things that keep them aware without feeling too focused on every detail.
